At least 16 people died Saturday morning as their hot air balloon caught fire and crashed south of Austin, Texas, according to reports.
Local authorities say there do not appear to be any survivors of the crash, which occurred shortly after 7:40 a.m. central time.
Debris at the scene lies directly below high-voltage power lines, according to the Austin American-Statesman, suggesting a possible cause for the accident.
