A reporter in Phoenix, Arizona, was nearly struck by lightning while preparing for a live report Wednesday night.
Matt Rodewald of Fox 10 was covering the monsoon that brought rain, blowing dust and lightning, outside when a bolt of lightning struck in the distance behind him and he jumped out of the way. His camera caught it on tape. He tweeted the video with the caption, “Lightning crashes,” on Thursday.

The Wednesday storm also had hail, caused flooding, and brought down trees. It also resulted in at least 14,000 customers losing power in parts of the East Valley according to SRP officials, Fox 10 reported.
While Arizona faced inclement weather, the southeastern part of the U.S. is bracing for Hurricane Dorian, which could slam into Florida as a Category 4 storm over Labor Day Weekend.
