President Trump weighed in on a recent interview between Rudy Giuliani and CNN host Chris Cuomo, saying his personal attorney destroyed the network host in the interview.
“I watched Rudy take apart Fredo,” Trump said Monday. “Rudy Giuliani took Fredo to the cleaners.”
Trump, 73, was referring to an interview last week in which Giuliani and Cuomo shouted at each other on CNN for 30 minutes while trading insults.
Giuliani, 75, called CNN a “horror” and Cuomo a “sellout,” while the Cuomo accused Guiliani of destroying his credibility.
Trump called Cuomo “Fredo” in reference to an argument the CNN host had with a man who called him the name of the hapless brother from the movie The Godfather. Cuomo is the brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the son of former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo.
