Australian officials uncover ‘megaspider’ with massive fangs

The “megaspider” is real.

A reptile park in Australia deemed the large funnel-web spider as the largest of its kind that the park has ever seen, nicknaming it the “megaspider.”

The arachnid measures over 8 centimeters from foot to foot and has dark hair.

The most impressive feature of the “megaspider” might be its fangs. The spider wields fangs that measure almost an inch long, and they reportedly have the ability to pierce a person’s fingernail.

The “megaspider” was donated to an anti-venom program, according to the report.

Its fangs will be milked so its venom can be used to develop anti-venom, according to the Australian Reptile Park.
