Police believe a man arrested for residential burglaries in Montgomery County is responsible for a string of about 100 burglaries that occurred in Fairfax County homes from August through October.
Montgomery County police said Brad K. Edmonds, 34, of Oxon Hill, was arrested in connection with a series of burglaries at Potomac homes.
Investigators saw Edmonds break into vehicles and residences on the 11700 block of Lake Potomac Drive on Tuesday and he was arrested at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
Police said officers found evidence of the string of burglaries at his home.
Edmonds has been charged in Montgomery County, but not in Fairfax. But Fairfax County police said they believe he is responsible for the serial burglaries there.
