At least eight are dead after shootings at two hookah bars in a town in western Germany.
Several perpetrators carried out the attacks on Wednesday night, according to police. German authorities have launched a large-scale manhunt to find the suspects, according to the Washington Post.
In the first attack, three people were killed at a hookah bar in Hanau, Germany. The second attack happened at another hookah bar in the city.
Police are searching for “unknown perpetrators,” according to a statement. Both attacks took place shortly after 10 p.m. local time. Police have not yet posited a motive for the attacks.
