Sure, the holidays are about family, friends, fun and, of course, gifts. But there’s one more thing that comes to mind for almost every one of us.
That’s right: food. The food that started three weeks ago and will continue until 2009 when we again swear to visit the gym every day and stay away from anything covered in chocolate or breading.
This year, you can get Hanukkah started right with a latke-making demonstration from Good Stuff Eatery and “Top Chef” contestant Spike Mendelsohn. “Chef Spike’s Latke Mania” starts at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue. Tickets are $6 and reservations aren’t required. For information or tickets, visit sixthandi.org.
