Supporters of Donald Trump don’t need to feel like total losers in the dating game now there is a relationship site designed just for them.
Founder David Goss told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday he launched TrumpSingles.com in mid-May to help make dating great again for fans of the presumptive GOP nominee. Goss said he is used to being asked if the site is a parody, but he confirmed it is the real deal and said he will vote for Trump in today’s California primary.
Goss said he heard time and time again how “everything was going well [on a date] until they got talking about politics and once that happened the date nearly ended.” He said the worst story he heard was of a Hillary Clinton supporter who “got up… walked out, left her with the food, the bill, and everything” after realizing his date was voting for Trump.
TrumpSingles.com represents the entrepreneur’s first foray into business. Goss claimed the site has about 500 users so far, but he hopes it is going to be huge.
Goss is making strategic investments to expand and promote the brand and said he plans to release an apparel line next week, and is working on developing an app.
“We’re not trying to go at this half-assed. We really want to make this business profitable for us, we want to make it a good service for people to be able to use,” said Goss.
This story was corrected to note the founder of the website is David Goss.
