Two city schools were placed on lock down Thursday morning after separate bomb threats were called in.
Baltimore City College High School and Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School were evacuated briefly Thursday, said Edie House, spokeswoman for Baltimore City Public schools.
“We have to take those calls seriously and investigate them,” House said.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought to the schools to investigate the threats and both schools were declared to be safe shortly thereafter, House said. Classes resumed as normal for the rest of the day.
The two bomb threats are not believed to be related, House said.
