Rapper Pitbull is joining Jeb Bush in his quest to buy the Miami Marlins.
A spokesman for the rapper told the Miami Herald on Tuesday that the celebrity is joining Bush, CNBC star Marcus Lemonis and Tagg Romney, the son of Mitt Romney, in their bid to buy the Florida baseball team.
“Yes, he is part of the group,” Tom Muzquiz said.
Bush, the former Florida governor and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, dropped his bid to buy the team with Derek Jeter in May.
The Miami Herald reported then that issues involving the purchase centered on Bush’s desire to act as the “control person” of the deal. Bush had planned to invest less than $20 million in the $1.3 billion deal.
