‘I know who has done this’: Maxine Waters says Twitter account was hacked

Rep. Maxine Waters claims that her social media was hacked and that she knows who the culprit is, ominously promising to “take care” of the situation.

Waters said Tuesday that her Twitter account had been hacked and erased. Waters also claimed to know who had committed the hacking and said she intends to fix the issue, she wrote on social media.

“I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased,” Waters posted on Twitter. “I know who has done this. I will take care of this. M Waters.”

Several Twitter users pointed out they could still see both her account and her tweets, noting that she delivered the news through the very Twitter account she claimed was hacked.

Some users expressed excitement for the representative to exact revenge on the alleged hacker.

Waters criticized President Joe Biden last month for his handling of the Haitian migrants on the border between Mexico and the United States. Waters claimed she was “very unhappy” with Biden’s decision to deport the migrants and claimed what she saw was “worse than what we witnessed in slavery.”
