Video taken from a man’s home security camera shows the moment four armed intruders break down his front door and enter the residence in Bowling Green, Ky.
The home invaders can be seen walking carefully, with the lead man turning into a hallway where he was met with a hail of bullets, courtesy of the homeowner’s gun.
The intruders rushed back out the front door and fired back.
WLKY reports the homeowner said he was asleep when he heard them breaking in. During the firefight, the homeowner was shot in his right hand. He was later transported the hospital.
Police said the suspects will be facing attempted murder and burglary charges.
- “It kind of plays into with what the mindset of those individuals were when they forcibly made entry into somebody’s home, came in there armed, and attempting to locate somebody and exchanging gunfire with them and shooting somebody. It’s invaluable to have that type of video footage,” Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said.
