Former President Barack Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, said President Trump’s first 100 days in office were marked by “chaos” and set the groundwork for a “renaissance” of the Democratic Party.
During an interview that aired on MSNBC on Sunday, “Politics Nation” host Al Sharpton asked Holder to assess Trump’s first few months in the White House.
“Chaos. Carnage on basic American rights. No sense of direction,” was Holder’s reply. “I think that what was said during the campaign was proved to be true,” he added, not explaining what exactly those comments about Trump were.
“President Trump is a person I think [is] experiencely and temperamentally not suited to be president,” he continued. “And you have seen in the chaos, and lack of accomplishment in these 100 days, things that give me great pause, and I think it’s the basis for a renaissance of the Democratic Party.”
Trump too, in recent days, has been asked to grade his administration’s first 100 days. His answer, unlike that of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, was overwhelmingly positive.
Trump told the Washington Examiner last week: “I’d give us an A.”
