Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he “fully supports” President Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal.
“Israel fully supports President Trump’s bold decision today to reject the disastrous nuclear deal with the terrorist regime to Iran,” Netanyahu said in a Tuesday statement following Trump’s announcement.
Netanyahu said Israel opposed the nuclear agreement from its inception because instead of stopping Iran from developing a nuclear bomb, it “paved Iran’s path to an entire arsenal of nuclear bombs.”
Trump announced Tuesday afternoon that the U.S. would be withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and in its stead, sanctions will go back into effect on Iran.

“The removal of sanctions under the deal has already produced disastrous results,” Netanyahu said in his remarks. “The deal didn’t push war further away, it actually brought it closer. The deal didn’t reduce Iran’s aggression, it dramatically increased it, and we see this across the entire Middle East.”
