Martin O’Malley is returning to New Hampshire later this month, which would be the third early voting primary state he has visited since the 2016 election.
The former Maryland governor will be making multiple stops in the Granite State on April 23, including at an event with the Bedford Democratic Committee, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
O’Malley dropped out of the Democratic presidential primary race eight days before the New Hampshire’s second-in-the-nation primary after a dismal showing in the Iowa caucuses against Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
O’Malley is rumored to be considering another run for the White House in 2020. Telling signs include stops in Iowa and South Carolina, two other early voting primary states. In Iowa, O’Malley commissioned a poll for the 2020 race, in which he topped the list of Democratic candidates with 18 percent of the vote, just ahead of New Jersey Gov. Cory Booker, who got 17 percent.
During a stop in South Carolina this month, O’Malley said “I just might” run again.
O’Malley’s team did not immediately return a request for comment.
He also is scheduled to teach a public policy course at the University of Maryland in fall 2017.
