A Canadian Parliament member shocked colleagues during a video call with the House of Commons on Wednesday when he accidentally trotted in the nude on live camera.
William Amos, a representative of the district of Pontiac, Quebec, since 2015, said his video accidentally turned while he changed into his work clothes after going for a jog.
The Canadian Press obtained a photo of Amos standing behind a chair with Quebec and Canadian flags in the background, completely in the nude. His privates are covered by what appears to be a smartphone in his hand.
Amos called the incident an “unfortunate error,” according to the Associated Press.

“My video was accidentally turned on as I was changing into my work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to my colleagues in the House of Commons for this unintentional distraction. Obviously, it was an honest mistake, and it won’t happen again,” he said.
Amos was “mortified” after the incident, said Liberal Party colleague Mark Holland, adding, “I don’t think there was any ill intent.”

“This is a warning to everybody,” Holland said. “You’ve got to really always assume that camera is on and be very careful anytime you wander anywhere near that camera that you’re dressed appropriately.″
