It all seemed so much fun at the time: Spending a wonderful snow day putting carrots in anatomically amusing parts of snowmen. But just as this winter’s snow days meant make-up days for Fairfax County, it’s Prince George’s turn to face the music.
School officials announced Tuesday that they were extending the school calendar by four days to make up for snow days on Jan. 18, 26 and 27, and Feb. 22. That means P.G. kidlets will now be in class through Friday, June 17, and teachers will be on the clock through Monday, June 20.
And if inclement weather forces yet another school closure? Additional make-up days are on the table, where carrots are only for begrudged eating.
