Arlington Board Chairman Jay Fisette responded to Northrop Grumman’s recent decision to move its global headquarters to Fairfax County, which beat out proposed Arlington locations.
“We were in the thick of it and obviously we’re disappointed, but I’m glad they finally made a decision,” Fisette said.
The Arlington chief also responded to rumors that Northrop might be moving employees from his county to its new Falls Church headquarters.
“Northrop Grummun is a major employer in the region, and Arlington is a hot bed for many of the defense contractors. So I think we’ll continue to have some Northrop Grumman presence here,” Fisette said.
