Hillary Clinton responds to Trump’s ‘rape’ comment about Bill

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump can say “whatever he wants to say” when asked about the billionaire businessman floating that her husband, former President Clinton, was involved in “rape” in the past.

“People can judged his campaign for what it is. I’m going to run my campaign,” Clinton told CNN Thursday. “He can say whatever he wants to say.”

“It’s not so much for me … what he says about me. I am really used to it. I have very thick skin,” Clinton said before rattling off all of his “offensive” stances. “I’m going after him. I’m going after him exactly on those issue and statements that are divisive and dangerous and I actually think that’s what the American people want to see.”

Cuomo then pressed Clinton specifically about Trump’s remarks, asking her if she ever feels “compelled to defend” either her or her husband’s “honor” when Trump levels those kinds of attacks.

“Do you ever feel compelled to defend your honor, the honor of your husband with statements that he’s making that go to the core of the relationship,” Cuomo asked

“No,” Clinton responded. “Not at all. I know that that’s exactly what he’s fishing for and I’m not going to be responding.”

Trump mentioned that the former president had been accused of “rape” Wednesday night during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. Trump made the comment when the host mentioned a piece by the New York Times earlier in the week, which discussed at length Trump’s past with women.

“For example, I looked at the New York Times. Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey?” Hannity said, referring to women who have accused the 42nd president of improper behavior. “In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will.”

“And rape,” Trump told the host.
