Several charities have canceled plans to hold events at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla., this week.
On Saturday, the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach scrapped its annual dinner dance and reportedly became the ninth charity to go elsewhere.
“The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and celebrating the unique architectural and cultural heritage of Palm Beach,” the group said on Facebook. “Given the current environment surrounding Mar-a-Lago, we have made the decision to move our annual dinner dance.”
The preservation foundation did not identify where the dance would be located instead, but the Washington Post reported that nine of the next 16 scheduled dinners and galas at the club appear to be canceled.
