Project Valour IT

There are, in this great country, many impressive civic and charitable efforts to help our troops. One of them is Project Valour IT, which buys technological devices that support recovery and provide independence and freedom to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.

Valour IT was inspired by an Army blogger who was wounded in Iraq in 2005. As of last month, the organization had provided 5,000 voice-controlled laptops to wounded troops. Right now, military bloggers are hosting a friendly inter-service competition to see who can raise the most money for this worthy cause. (Though the services compete, all donations go to the same fund regardless of which team a donor chooses to give to, so as to best serve the needs to our severely wounded troops from all services).
