Two Olympians agreed to share the gold medal after neither could out-jump the other during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Gianmarco Tamberi from Italy and Mutaz Essa Barshim from Qatar both cleared jumps of 2.37 meters without any mistakes. To declare a winner, the bar was raised to the Olympic record height of 2.39 meters.
