One of five suspects in the Aug. 11 fatal shooting of an Edgewood man was arrested today by police in Stamford, Conn., the Harford County Sheriff?s Office said.
An anonymous tip led Stamford police officers to Sean Nelson Smith, a 27-year-old resident of the 1800 block of Brookside Drive in Edgewood, said Sgt. Christina Presberry, Harford Sheriff?s Office spokeswoman.
He was wanted on charges of first-degree murder in the killing of Samuel David Horne, 25, in that same block of Brookside Drive two weeks ago.
Smith faces no charges in Stamford, so an extradition hearing will likely be held to bring him back to Maryland, Presberry said.
The other four suspects, Nicholas Darin Porter, Ravon Leonard Watson, Vance Edwin Major and a man whom police have not yet identified, have not been caught, Presberry said.
