Cantor Jamming Up Pelosi

On the supplemental, which Democrats have tried to stuff with $100 billion in IMF funding:

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is doubling down on his charge that $108 billion in proposed loans to the International Monetary Fund could aid terrorists. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) earlier Thursday called the charge a “scare tactic.” House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) also called Cantor’s charge “demagogic.” To back up his claim on terrorist funding, Cantor referred to a letter by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) warning that Hezbollah is seeking IMF funding if it wins elections in Lebanon. Sherman is seeking to restrict the funding to prevent that from happening. “Once again, it looks like Speaker Pelosi and Barney Frank might have to go back and check their facts,” Cantor said in a statement.

The Dems have “pulled the supplemental bill from the calendar this week.”
