Tucker Carlson: Election ‘seized’ from voters

Fox News host Tucker Carlson speculated that voters may not be able to accept the results of future presidential elections.

On his top-rated show Wednesday night, one day after Election Day, Carlson predicted that there will be dire consequences to no declared presidential winner on election night, decrying “lawyers, courts, and highly partisan, clearly corrupt, big-city bureaucrats” who may litigate election results in various states. Carlson said the election outcome “seized” control from voters.

“In a lot of ways, unfortunately, what happened last night could not have been worse for this country, for our children, our grandchildren, our future. The outcome of our presidential election was seized from the hands of voters, where, of course, it rightly belongs, and now resides in the control of lawyers and courts and highly partisan, clearly corrupt, big-city bureaucrats. So, no matter what happens next, that is a tragedy. Many Americans will never again accept the results of a presidential election,” Carlson said.

The Associated Press projects that Democratic nominee Joe Biden will be the winner of the pivotal battleground states of Michigan and Wisconsin, two states President Trump won in 2016. The Trump campaign has filed a series of lawsuits pertaining to ballot counting in those states, as well as Georgia, as part of its efforts to obtain 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

Carlson also told viewers that the results would be worse if Democrats gained control of the House, the Senate, and the presidency, which appears unlikely with the GOP on track to maintain the majority in the Senate.

“America remains, it’s still here,” Carlson said.”And it’s not a foregone conclusion, we almost lost it. Democrats told us they wanted to beat Donald Trump. They spent more money than anyone ever has in any election in history to do that. But there was a lot more going on. Democrats didn’t harness the full power of Big Tech and the billionaire class simply to make Joe Biden president, no. What they really wanted was total control over everything. No more democracy, no more dissent, permanent obedience from the rest of us.”

Carlson criticized Democratic wishes of court-packing and expanding the number of states, which, he argued, Democrats “admitted” was a “partisan political weapon.”

“The point was to create a permanent Democratic majority, a one-party state with complete control over the population. Never in our history has any mainstream political party proposed an agenda more radical than this,” Carlson said.
