Former President Barack Obama announced Wednesday his foundation will host a global summit in Chicago to promote civic engagement.

In an email to supporters, the former commander in chief said the Obama Foundation in October will bring “together hundreds of civic leaders from all around the world to Chicago for a hands-on exchange of ideas.”
