Baltimore Examiner Staff Writer Stephen Janis was among the honorees at the Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP?s 95th anniversary celebration Wednesday night. Citing Janis? dedication and fairness, President Marvin “Doc” Cheatham presented him with an NAACP President?s award.
Also at the event, Elnora Fullwood, the widow of Harlow Fullwood Jr., turned over a check for more than $24,000 from The Fullwood Foundation to Cheatham for the branch?s scholarship fund.
