An 18-year-old from Takoma Park was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Hyattsville early Saturday.
Prince George’s County police said Wilber Ramirez, was found unconscious in the 5000 block of 38th Avenue at about 2:20 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe Ramirez was struck by a vehicle driving southbound as he was trying to cross 38th Avenue. The vehicle continued driving without stopping.
Police spokesman Cpl. Henry Tippett said investigators have no information on the striking vehicle. Anyone who may have seen the crash is asked to call police at 301-731-4422.
