Facing an implacably hostile Democratic House and a scrum of Democratic presidential hopefuls jockeying to knock him off in 2020, President Trump has found one issue that enjoys some bipartisan support — ending daylight saving time.
Trump knocked daylight saving time on Twitter Monday, about 33 hours after clocks pushed forward and Americans lost an hour.

Trump may also find support from lawmakers in blue states for abolishing daylight saving time. There’s legislation pending in Oregon and Washington to do so.
Across the Atlantic, the European Union is considering scrapping mandatory daylight saving times. A recent survey of 4.6 million EU citizens showed that 84 percent want to undo the clock-changing practice.
