Attention Alexandrians: With rains anticipated Thursday, the National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for the city until 3 a.m. Friday.
Tides are expected to be two or three feet above normal; high tides for the city are forecast for 11:24 a.m. Thursday and 12:05 a.m. Friday.
The city is handing out sandbags to homes and businesses Thursday if needed, and has parked a trailer truck with sandbags at King and Lee streets.
