George H.W. Bush arrives in Maine for the summer

Jeb Bush shared a photo Sunday of his “beloved” father, former President George H. W. Bush, arriving in Kennebunkport, Maine, for the summer.

“My beloved dad is in Maine,” Jeb Bush wrote on Twitter of his father, who is 93 years old.

Bush has spent part of every summer at his seaside home in Kennebunkport, except for when he was deployed as a naval aviator during World War II, according to the Associated Press.

“He is also focused on when his family is coming up — some are coming Memorial Day, some after that. And he has been besieged by friends wanting to come see him as well,” Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told the Washington Examiner Friday.

The 41st president was hospitalized with a blood infection on April 22, the day after laying wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, to rest in Houston, Texas.
