Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren asked Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling Wednesday if she was in need of a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for her newly announced American wizarding school.
Looking for a Defense Against the Dark Arts prof, @jk_rowling? Where do I apply? Trump, Death Eaters – I got this! https://t.co/TDgHbeyApU

Warren also used the opportunity to take a shot at Donald Trump, comparing him to a Death Eater, soul-sucking creatures who more or less symbolize pure evil in the Harry Potter universe, and vowing to fight them off.
It’s worth noting that Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers have famously lasted only one year in their jobs at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, thanks to a curse enacted by Lord Voldemort, the main villain of the seven-book saga. Said professors have been killed, driven insane, resigned or been carried off to the Forbidden Forest by centaurs. It is unclear how they fare at Ilvermorny, the American school.
Rowling announced new details about Ilvermorny on Tuesday in conjunction with the upcoming film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a Harry Potter spinoff that will be set at least partially in early 20th-century New York City.
