HBO’s Bill Maher on Friday night poked fun at Al Gore for his loss in the Florida recount against President George W. Bush in the 2000 election.

Gore, former vice president to President Bill Clinton, appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” to discuss his new documentary about climate change, “An Inconvenient Sequel.”
“When the sea levels rise, we could lose Venice, we could lose Florida,” Maher said to Gore. “And who would know better about losing Florida?”
Gore was game to Maher’s joke.
“Actually I think I carried Florida,” Gore said.
