The Democratic ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, Elijah Cummings, said that today’s IRS hearing “is more important than one election”:
“Thank you for calling this very important hearing,” said Cummings. “Mr. Chairman, you are absolutely right: This is more important than one election. The revelations that have come forward so far provides us with a moment pregnant with transformation. Not transformation for a moment, but for generations to come and generations yet unborn.”
