Ten months after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed on the set of the movie Rust, actor Alec Baldwin is invoking the Jan. 6 Capitol riot in the conversation.
Baldwin said he feared what supporters of former President Donald Trump would do to him.
“The former president of the United States said, ‘He probably shot her on purpose.’ To me was really the only time I thought that I needed — that I was worried about what was going to happen. Because here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me and saying I was responsible for the death.”

Baldwin, who has not been charged in Hutchins’s death or the wounding of director Joel Souza, said he’s had a hard time finding work and had since been fired from five jobs.
His attorney, Luke Nikas, continues to dispute the FBI’s claim that the trigger had to have been pulled, saying his client never discharged the gun.
