All lanes of Route 50 (both east- and westbound) under the Capital Beltway in Merrifield will have overnight closures from Thursday through Tuesday.
The closures will begin at 9:30 each evening. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on weekdays, 7 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The Virginia Department of Transportation encouraged drivers to be familiar with the detour routes. Traffic traveling eastbound will be detoured to Gallows Road (Route 650), to Lee Highway (Route 29), to Fairview Park Drive, and back to Route 50. Traffic traveling westbound will use the same route in the opposite direction.
