A bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle this morning in downtown Washington, police said.
Shortly after 10 a.m., police were called to the accident at 17th and M streets NW. The victim, a man, was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition, D.C. police spokesman Officer Anthony Clay said.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene.
