Donald Trump plans to woo women into supporting him by continuing with his message for border security, strengthening the military and protecting Americans.
Fox News host Bill O’Reilly asked the presumptive GOP nominee in a Wednesday interview how he planned to boost his level of support from of women after a new poll conducted by the network showed 51 percent of women backed Hillary Clinton and 32 percent supported him.
“I could tell you right now what it is,” Trump said about his message for women. “It’s strength, it’s borders, it’s a strong military. We’re going to protect — we are going to protect our country. It’s keeping people that want to kill us out of our country.”
But Trump would not share other talking points for how he plans to reach women as opposed to the one he has employed to win male voters. Instead, the billionaire businessman remained adamant he does not have a problem winning over women despite a drop from them in this month’s Fox poll.
“I think I’m doing great with women,” Trump said. “Yesterday in Ohio and in Pennsylvania and in West Virginia, it’s packed with lines going outside. It’s incredible. And half of these people, I mean, more than half it seems are women. They have signs up ‘women for Trump.’ ‘We love you, Donald.’ It’s unbelievable what’s going on.”
