Two adults and 18 students were taken to area hospitals after a Metrobus and car crashed on Interstate 395, D.C. fire officials said.
The accident happened about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, in the southbound lane near Maine Avenue southwest. The vehicles basically bumped into each other, and none of the injuries appeared serious, but the incident tied up morning rush hour for about 45 minutes, said D.C. fire spokesman Pete Piringer.
Two adults were in the car, and 18 teenagers and a driver were on the bus. All were taken to a hospital for check-ups.
