An elderly woman was found dead in her northern Baltimore this morning.
Police say they found Nancy Schmidt, 74, suffering from multiple stab wounds in her Remington home in the 200 block of W. 31st Street around 5:30 a.m. today.
“We know she had some type of intruder in the house,” said Baltimore police spokesman Agent Donny Moses.
Police have no immediate suspects, he added.
The stabbing is the 59th homicide in Baltimore this year, compared with 80 during the same time period last year.
