Prince George’s lawmakers worried Baker’s tax-break program is too broad

Prince George’s County lawmakers are concerned that a proposed program to grant tax breaks to developers is too broad and would aid gambling businesses.

County Council Chairwoman Andrea Harrison, D-Bladensburg, demanded that an amendment be added to a bill establishing the property tax break program that would prohibit the county from using the program to aid developers that want to bring slots or other types of casino-style gambling to Prince George’s.
