The suspect responsible for shooting people Saturday evening between Midland and Odessa, Texas, has been identified as Seth Ator.

Police told CBS News that Ator, 36, was a native of Odessa. He hijacked a U.S. Postal Service truck and began a shooting spree in Midland on Saturday that killed seven and injured at least 19. Midland law enforcement say Ator then traveled east toward Odessa, where he continued the deadly assault. Police report he was then shot and killed by authorities closing in on him.
