SEE IT: Rolls-Royce announces its first fully-electric vehicle

Rolls-Royce unveiled its first fully-electric vehicle this week, marking its commitment to go all-electric by 2030.

Rolls-Royce said its new Spectre, starting at $413,000, is currently expected to have an all-electric range of 320 miles and accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

“This is the start of a bold new chapter for our marque, our extraordinary clients, and the luxury industry,” Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said. “For this reason, I believe Spectre is the most perfect product that Rolls-Royce has ever produced.”

“Demand has been incredible. While we haven’t even shown Spectre publicly, we have more hard orders already than we had in total for Dawn or Cullinan,” President and CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars America Martin Fritsches told ABC News, referring to the company’s convertible and SUV models. “We have already seen hundreds of our clients visit the Bespoke design studios in Goodwood to start configuring their Spectre commission.”

Cadillac also announced its own luxury electric Celestiq model, beginning at $300,000. It is also expected to be available in late 2023.
