North Korea conducts another rocket engine test: Report

North Korea tested a rocket engine that the U.S. believes could be part of its program to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile, according to multiple reports Thursday.

Reuters first reported the rocket engine test, which comes after North Korea conducted three other similar tests in March and other ballistic missile tests over the course of the year.

The news of the test follows a recent tweet by President Trump where he expressed frustration at China’s failure to push North Korea to curb its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

“While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out,” Trump said. “At least I know China tried!”

Trump has warned that a “major, major conflict” with North Korea is possible over its weapons programs, although national security officials have said they may pursue tougher sanctions and diplomatic measures first.
