National handball champion Peoples killed by semi

BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — National masters handball champion Bill Peoples has died of injuries suffered in a pedestrian/truck collision in Montana.

Garden City Funeral Home says the 60-year-old Missoula man was run over by a delivery truck on the University of Montana campus in Missoula. A witness told police Peoples waited for the truck’s cab to pass and jumped under the trailer.
