Hillary Clinton agrees sticking with Bill was gutsy, not ‘right for everybody’

Hillary Clinton opened up about her decision to carry on in her marriage after former President Bill Clinton’s infidelity was publicly revealed, saying the decision was “gutsy.”

The former first lady was asked about her marriage in a promotion for a new TV show named Gutsy that claims to feature “candid conversations” with “extraordinary people.” The former secretary of state acknowledged that her decision to stick with her husband following revelations about his affair with Monica Lewinsky may not be “right for everybody.”

“You have a marriage that has been on public display since the beginning. You said the gutsiest thing you ever did was stay in your marriage,” the Rev. Whittney Ijanaten said in the trailer.

Hillary Clinton nodded and replied, “That doesn’t mean that’s right for everybody.”

The two-time presidential contender married Bill Clinton in 1975. In addition to Lewinsky, multiple women, including lawyer Dolly Kyle Browning, former model Sally Perdue, and actress Elizabeth Gracen, claimed to have had affairs with the former president during his tenure as Arkansas governor, according to the Daily Mail.

Arkansas resident Paula Jones alleged she was sexually harassed by Bill Clinton during his presidency. She sued him for sexual harassment, and while he publicly denied the allegations, the former president agreed to settle the suit.

The Clintons have previously opened up about their marriage, with Bill Clinton expressing regret for his actions.

“We all bring our baggage to life, and sometimes we do things we shouldn’t do,” he previously explained in the documentary Hillary. “It was awful what I did.”
