Two Baltimore teenagers are dead and four others were wounded following three shootings Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
The Baltimore Police Department reported that the shootings took place in separate areas of the city within one hour of each other, and the youngest identified victim was 15 years old.
TWO POLICE OFFICERS AND SUSPECT SHOT IN MARYLAND
Southern District patrol officers responded to the first shooting at approximately 5:25 p.m. after hearing gunfire while walking on foot. They then located a 23-year-old male and another unidentified male suffering from gunshots wounds, the department said in a Facebook post. The two victims are in critical condition as of Thursday, a spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.
Under an hour later, police responded to a shooting in the Southwest District around 6:20 p.m., where they located a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg that required a tourniquet, Baltimore police said. Two other unidentified male juveniles were located and pronounced dead at the scene.
The 15-year-old victim is now in stable condition.
The third shooting took place in the Southeast District of Baltimore, where police located a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was also transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Police said they were investigating the shootings as separate incidents and asked anyone with information to contact them at 1-866-7Lockup.

The blitz of shootings is the latest in the growing number of violent crimes reported this year. As of Thursday, 85 shootings and 47 homicides had taken place in Baltimore this year, according to police data.
