Trump-backed super PAC releases first midterm campaign ad of the season

MAGA Inc., the new super PAC backed by former President Donald Trump, released one of its first advertisements of the midterm elections Friday. The ad comes after the super PAC bought over $2 million worth of ad space in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The ad, which centers itself around the senatorial campaign in Ohio, attacks Democratic Senate candidate Tim Ryan and claims that he “voted the liberal party line 100% of the time.”

MAGA Inc. has made its initial ad buys worth $2.2 million in the Ohio and Pennsylvania Senate races, according to data obtained by CNN. The super PAC has ad buys worth $900,000 in Pennsylvania and $1.3 million in Ohio so far, according to the report.

The ad buys come as GOP megadonor Peter Thiel has reportedly called the Ohio Senate race “done” and is looking to move funds to Blake Masters’s Senate bid in Arizona. It also comes the same week Ryan reported $17.2 million in campaign funds during the third quarter.

Ryan and Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance are set to face off in two debates, with the first debate scheduled for Monday in Cleveland. The second debate is scheduled for Oct. 17 in Youngstown.

Vance, who has been endorsed by Trump, appeared alongside the former president at a rally in Youngstown last month.
