Nickles fires back, but judge for yourself

Attorney General Peter Nickles still doesn’t like The Washington Examiner’s stories on the ongoing problems in the city’s workers’ compensation fund.

Asked by News Channel 8’s Bruce DePuyt about whether the administration was warned that disabled workers were being billed for life insurance but weren’t getting the benefits, Nickles insisted that his investigation was something altogether different from the inspector general’s 2007 report.

Here’s the report. Capital Land delivers itself to the tender mercies of its readers to decide.

The attorney general also said that, while I was “wrong” in my coverage, I was nonetheless “a great reporter.”

Oh, counsel. You like me. You really like me.
