Eric Trump tells Johnny Depp to ‘go back to making movies’ after Trump assassination joke

Eric Trump told Johnny Depp to go back to making movies and to stay out of politics after Depp joked about wanting to kill President Trump.

“There is no borders for these people,” Trump said during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo. “Listen, we’re fair game — fine, we’re adults. You see Johnny Depp and what he said — ‘I’d like to go assassinate the president.’ It’s like, Johnny Depp has his own problems. Like how about you go back to making movies and doing your own thing.”

The president’s son also spoke about the large amount of hateful comments his pregnant wife and 11-year-old brother Barron receive.

“This is a man who gave up his life to try and help this country and he is doing a great, great job, and honestly I could not be more proud of him,” Trump said.

Actor Johnny Depp made a joke about assassinating President Trump last week at the Glastonbury arts festival, the White House condemned the joke in a statement and Depp later apologized.

Alongside Depp, Kathy Griffin, Robert De Niro and Madonna have all made news for making comments or posting photos that appear to threaten the president.
